BSD Carbide Pin - 60° Tip angle, Extra Length

• Suitable up to 62HRC, Prefered for most plastics

This is the sharpest tip angle. You can mark all metals but this tip angle is prefered for soft materials such as aluminium and plastics.

The sharper angle helps achieve a deeper mark and/or a finer mark but is more likely to wear faster on harder matierals, especially with a high force setting.

Extra length pin provides extra reach for marking futher past the guide foot. Applicable for marking into recesses or where there are obsticales for the the guide foot.

About Carbide Pin life: Some of our customers get about 2 years out of a pin whereas other will purchase a new pin yearly. Pin life is dependant on how hard your material is, how hard you are marking and the frequency of use. Companies replacing a pin a year typically mark 350 grade, operating the unit frequently all day.
