This is the standard tip angle but with extra length. Suitable for marking all metals.

In regards to pin life, some of our customers get about 2 years out of a pin whereas other will purchase a new pin yearly. Pin life is dependant on how hard your material is, how hard you are marking and the frequency of use. Companies replacing a pin a year typically mark 350 grade, operating the unit frequently all day.

The extra length allows longer reach past the guide foot so that you can mark into recesses or hard to reach locations. For example one customer uses this pin to mark the inside of metal caps.
