Carbide Pin - 120° Tip angle, High Hardness

• Carbide stylus pin with a 120° tip angle

• Carbide hardness: HRA93.6
• Suitable for all metal surfaces up to 62HRC

This is the standard tip angle but in higher grade carbide for extra hardness. Suitable for marking all metals.

As per the standard hardness, some of our customers get about 2 years out of a pin whereas other will purchase a new pin yearly. Pin life is dependant on how hard your material is, how hard you are marking and the frequency of use. Companies replacing a pin a year typically mark 350 grade, operating the unit frequently all day.

High hardness would be preferential when marking alloys and stainless steels frequently.
